Had to go with Yogi and Agree with rebelhoosier848891…

Yogi not only had an outstanding offensive night, but his defense on Melo was the difference in the game. He held, what has been touted as the best freshman in the Big 10 and possibly a first round NBA draft pick to just 10 points. His control of the offensive flow of the game and his running of the defensive scheme (telling others when to switch from man-to-man to zone, etc) was superb. To me, player of the game is the one person you would be devastated to not have in that particular game and although the entire starting five played phenomenal… I'd say the night would have had a much different outcome without Yogi Ferrell leading our troops to victory! On that note… fantastic performance from JBJ, Hartman, Williams & Johnson. Love seeing Hartman earn that starting position and giving 110 % on the floor. Had some good minutes off the bench for Zeisloft, Stan, Holt and Hoetzel too. GREAT TEAM WIN!!!

Yogi was the reason for this win. I understand why many will say Hartman. We couldn't have done it with out him either, but Yogi was the one on top of the wrecking ball, a la Miley Cyrus, that absolutely crushed one of the better defensive teams in the country, and shattered the hopes and dreams of one of the nations best freshman.

Even with a stat line that usually can only be found in video games, 24 pts, 7-8 from 3, 5 assists, AND 0 turnovers, Yogi matched his offensive contribution on the other end of the floor. As the leader, he orchestrated smooth transitions between man and zone defenses that baffled Maryland. As the individual, he shut down the hot shot freshman Trimble, and did not allow his opponent to spark a Maryland run.

In this game, Yogi did everything that the fan base has been begging to see him do. He was the unstoppable force on offense, the rock on defense, and the floor general that made it all possible.
