IU vs Illinois Post Game Thread

I'm being selfish BUT I want our core to return so badly. Troy, JB2, and Yogi worry me.

They are on the cusp and it may not take much to push them up.

Still lots of games left. Amazing to think we probably should be 16-2 or 15-3. Let's keep winning and it will take care of itself.

Hartman was indeed amazing in his effort. GLAD the refs called the pushes and over the backs. They don't always do that!

BUT Hartman missed 2 key 3s early when we were up 10 or 11 that would have been a back breaker.

Hartman/Holt need to improve FT shooting THIS season if possible.

Enjoyed the game. Very up and down game of huge runs. Proud of the boys for fighting through. Also pretty awesome watching on the new projector! (Need to keep the little one away during crucial moments though... She apparently wanted to play.... lol)

How much eligibility does she have? She looks to be about what, 13 feet tall? Can she pass for a dude?

Picking up a road win without Hanner is huge.

This should give the team some real confidence going forward.

These are 2 of the teams we had the best to chance to win without HMP too. Just good to see us get it done. Wasn't pretty though

I believe our guys are maturing, and it showed today that pulling together after adversity is something we have -- and that's a really good thing. Honestly I did not see a moment Hanner was missed. Hartman, Holt and Troy held down the "big" spots just fine. We have grown up considerably -- I believe we beat Georgetown with our mentality now vs. December.

Blackmon's progress at growing out of youthful mistakes was the biggest factor today. He finally let the game come to him instead of trying to do things the game wouldn't let him do. If he's turned that corner, we're going to see some really fine games from him.

Kudos to everyone down the line, though...and to Coach Crean, who earned his money today.

I think we'll be ranked when the new polls come out. We'll need at least a split this week to stay ranked, though, and I really think we're going to run into a buzzsaw going to Columbus -- so we need to hold serve at home against Maryland.

Troy stays 1 more year and he's in the lottery

It definately seems like the game has slowed down for TW. He plays much more under control and if he can develop an outide jumper, he will be just as dangerous as VO was.

Outstanding win today boys.
