Yes Yogi did come up big with his scoring when we really needed it, but I was most impressed with the job he did on Dunham for the last 6 minutes on D. Shut him down!!! Troy is getting more under control and let's hope that trend continues, JBJ will go off on teams throughout the year, Hanner is getting better and better, and how about that Hartman kid!!! Let's win the next 2 and build some momentum going into B10 play!

That was Yogi's biggest contribution of the day. He shut Dunham down in crunch time.

 

Yogi's D isn't always great, but it seems like when he faces a tall task he turns on another level. One of the better individual defensive performances I've seen in college basketball of late was his D on Stauskas in Btown last year.

Such a satisfying win. Battled through up and down streaks, Hanner keeps improving, Troy played well and toned down 2k mode. We won this game with not much from Jimbo and Rob. If they were on we win going away. Celllll-e-brate good times come on! Dada dada da da dada!

This kind of reminded me of the NC State game from 3 years ago, with Troy's performance hopefully being the coming out party we've been expecting like Vic his sophomore year @Purdue. Hopefully we can build some momentum off this win.

While I'm at it, huge kudos to Troy Williams. He is still, ahem, "un-refined" at  times, but today his athleticism was combined with incredible energy, and he was a big problem for Butler.

Big win for IU today.

 

We have all been critical of Troy at times this year---but he came up big today.  Butler had no answer for his speed and athleticism.

 

He is figuring out how to play in this system and passed it out several time for open jumpers---well done.

 

Anytime you get over 20 points and 10 rebounds from him----great stuff ---literally! :biggrin:

Yogi is a sleeper---he turns it on when needed.

 

His offensive performance of 20 points was amazing in the second half---but his defense on Dunham down the stretch was even better---like a blanket.

 

Make no mistake--Yogi is still the leader of this team---and he carried that title well again today!

Blackmon was a little off and Z3 was not as solid ---but others stepped up to carry the team.

 

Like Hartman---aka HEART-MAN---continues to play with heart and battle--battle--battle.

 

He may never be the star of this team---but there will ALWAYS be a spot and playing time for someone like him!

 

He is a throwback Hoosier----a Hoosier Ninja! :ninja:

Perea continues his steady improvement before our eyes---all this playing time is doing him a world of good!

 

I heard---not confirmed--- that Holt has a health or injury issue of some kind which is why he did not get playing time.

 

Anybody know anything more?
