Tom White Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 So, are any of these announcers part of this "crystal ball" group I keep reading about? Quote

HoosierAloha Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Uh oh... Crean might luck into more success. All thanks to Thomas Bryant. Follows a long line of players who have made Crean's career. Vbg If you mean does less with more...? I agree, Since 2011 Crean has landed four 5* recruits, Izzo has landed two. Beilein, Matta, and Ryan have all landed one each. Out of that list Crean has the worst record (2011-2015) by far. He also brings up the rear in that list of average conference finish. Hey, but he brings in good players and good kids. We should keep him!! BGleas, redherring, ThompsonHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

Hey, but he brings in good players and good kids. We should keep him!! Well get ready for the circular arguments. First it will be those rankings don't really mean much. Then it will be that Crean is a great evaluator of talent. Then it might be something about being a great developer of talent. Then maybe, he had some guys that were bad for the chemistry and now that they transferred and the recruits we have coming will lead to a great, great year next year. All those things may be true but you hit on the essence of the problem. Crean is not performing at the same level as his peers. ctown2grhoosier, MikeRoberts, WayneFleekHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

GloryDays Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I watched the game against Oak Hill last night and have a few observations. Thomas looked a little fatigued after the All Star game and the tournament game the night before in which he had 27 and 19. Looks to anchor the post both defensively and on offense, holds position well and is a capable scorer at the rim. What I really liked was the fact he wasn't faked into leaving his feet and had really good timing on his blocks. Having Thomas could free up Hanner to play what I think would be his best position as a weak side defender and cleanup man at the rim. He would make us better defensively right off the bat. maxwell, ThompsonHoosier, Bobman1 and 4 others 7 Quote
seanmm1971 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Barring the fatigue, and the one very sad attempt to draw a charge,I came away impressed. His unselfishness, and passing out of the post are light years ahead anything we've had since CZ left. He attacks the rim like he's mad, I really like this. Get him,get him now!
