Here he gets a chance to develop skills. Not all programs are doing that... Crean is the best player development guy in America. That can be argued, but he's in the conversation.

You have zero idea what has been done to take care of the problems in the program. There are maybe 3 coaches who are more known for running a ship tighter than Crean. Partially why he was hired and identified as such a great fit here.

You can't know the character of every kid. You realize how difficult that is? I'd say he's done an AMAZING job of bringing in good people.

As for Bryant. I love his basketball game and would love to have him. Been saying it for months. He's a beast. Plays so hard. Intense. We'd be lucky to have him. No doubt.
