Friday's Game

Well did they do that in the past then? Because I swear I remember reading that.

Not really. I'll try to break down what they do, but it's a little fuzzy. Even people in the athletic department struggle to explain it.

You get a certain amount of points for buying basketball and football tickets. Then you get a certain amount of points for attending those games. When you submit your tickets in a package, the points are averaged across the group. The only time the points are used are to determine what your "good" game will be. So what game you will get GA for. Otherwise, they are not used.

Attendance at other sports: soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, etc does not matter.

This is the link the ticket office will refer you to, but I don't think it is the one for students:

They implemented the "points system" my Senior year. Still got terrible tickets other than UK General Admission. The only other game I was lower level was Southwest Louisiana State College of Nursing

That's because they are only used to determine what game you have GA for. Nothing else.

That clears it up. I mixed up that and the crimson club thing where if you go to other sports, you get points towards rewards and stuff like that. But it also doesn't make sense because I got SMU GA and that could've potentially been a HUGE game and like I said it's my first year here as a transfer student.

There used to be a fan in a gorilla suit in the student section. I'll bet that suit was hot. Always wondered how that big monkey got to be in the first row at the home games.

That was back when you could sneak from balcony to 3rd or fourth row with ease. I think when IU got better he simply bought GA tix to every game for his last season. Always alone too. No one knows who that dude was. But I can tell you I thought I was going to pass out from the heat at the UK game with 5,000 bodies pushed behind me. No idea how he survived that suit.
