Buss is still a junior? Wow. If I remember it correctly, he was a year old for his class when we  recruited him. If so, he'll be finishing his eligibility at, I believe, 25. There are NBA guys on their 2nd contract by then.

How did he sign today? I thought the signing period ended yesterday.

He signed his loi before the period ended and just announce his intentions today. Quade green has signed his loi already but will announce his decision on Saturday ( Syracuse or Kentucky)

At the end of October it was announced he had been suspended for 2 weeks and today a full dismissal from the program.

Below is the press release from VirginiaSports …

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Redshirt junior forward Austin Nichols (Collierville, Tenn.) has been dismissed from the Virginia men’s basketball program, head coach Tony Bennett announced Friday (Nov. 18).

Nichols was previously suspended for the Cavaliers' two preseason scrimmages and the season opener at UNCG on Nov. 11.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of this program and Austin has lost that privilege,” Bennett said. “We have standards for our student-athletes and when those standards aren’t met, there are consequences and this is the unfortunate consequence.”
