As of this morning the suspension is up to six games.

Purdoodoo has some nice pieces, but the heart and soul of that team last year, their absolute locker room leader, a high-class kid who played with focus and intensity (but not many offensive skills) and an All-B1G defender is gone.

That team is already missing Ray Davis big-time.

Oh...and apparently, he neglected to tell the coaching staff that any of this happenned.

The young man likely has some real personal issues.

Purdoodoo is a Haas or Swanigan injury or foul-troubled game away from not being a very good team.

I'd take Michigan or Ohio State over them in the B1G standings this year for sure.

The few people who pay attention to pur basketball seem to be bashing Painter for fumbling the Cline suspension.

He's been charged with marijuana possession twice and all he gets is 6 games? Bullsh*t when you consider we had two kids sit 9 games for something they didn't even do.

Yep. What's worse is the Goodell-Esque revised suspension. Definitely not a proud Purdue day.

We've been there recently. Always happy when the news in coming from someone else's yard.

Getting them live game action to prepare for the season. It's like a practice. Not a mercy game. If coach thinks the starters can gain from more time then that is why he would be playing them.

Sometimes coaches will do this in the non con for the same reason until some predetermined time. 2 minutes left or 3.

A couple of former Hoosier targets seem to be at the forefront of Penn States attempt to turn the corner. Lamar Stevens (I wanted this kid bad) had 14 points and 12 boards in their exhibition and Tony Carr had 15 points, 2 assists, 3 boards. I like those two as building blocks for that program, one that always gives us fits.

Cool anecdote, a college teammate of mine is the head coach of school PSU had their exhibition against last night.

Yes but of course you don't want to run the risk of injury.

You run that same risk every day at practice too. You can't coach or play in fear of getting hurt because that's usually when it will happen.
