WayneFleekHoosier Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Mississippi State freshman Mario Kegler did not travel with team to Italy, per the school. Still awaiting academic clearance from NCAA. I really wanted this kid. Got the feeling he is going to be a bust. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote
LIHoosier Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Damn Nips, Dunk City is amazing. They won a game in the Caribbean with only 3 players for the last minute. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/17235077/florida-gulf-coast-finishes-game-only-three-players-wins Napleshoosier, Naturalhoosier, HoosierAloha and 1 other 4 Quote

"While I understand the competitive spirit that accompanies coaching, there remains a standard of professional behavior that is inherent in a position of leadership that we all must meet. That standard was not met last night." Marshall was hit with a pair of technicals Tuesday night and was ejected from the contest against McGill University. He was then restrained by several players and assistant coaches while trying to get to one of the officials. Wichita State trailed 58-56 at the time of his ejection. The Shockers won the game 77-71. Earlier Wednesday, Marshall told ESPN that he was frustrated with the manner the game was called by the officials. "There were players with stitches, concussions, not keeping score accurately, a bloodbath, then touch fouls on us," Marshall told ESPN's Andy Katz. "I'm not happy nor proud of the reaction but when is enough, enough? I want my players to know I've got their back. Once ejected, I wanted the ref to know exactly my impression of his work." In a statement released by the school, Marshall said he accepted the university's decision to suspend him. "I fully accept the decision of the athletic department and the University," Marshall said in a statement. "As a program we expect to represent Wichita State University in a manner in which we can all be proud of, on and off the court. Last night, in my attempt to stand up for, and protect, my team I fell short of those expectations. I will gladly sit out tonight's game in hopes that a lesson can be learned that it's not just about doing the right thing, but doing it the right way." HoosierAloha and IUsafety 2 Quote

LIHoosier Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I love how he tried the walking away, saying "I'm cool, I'm cool" trick then went back into attack mode. It didn't work per usual. ElectricBoogaloo, HoosierAloha, ALASKA HOOSIER and 4 others 7 Quote

X-Hoosier Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 People are not happy on ITH because RJ isn't in the Top 25 B1G players lol. Seems pretty fair considering RJ will be 4th fiddle for the 3rd straight year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

X-Hoosier Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Mr. X, I am curious if there is one thing about our IU bball team that gives you any pleasure? I just think it is funny how people get upset over something like that. Is that a problem? I can see why he isn't on there. ITH can't seem life massive homers. So putting 4 Indiana players on there can't really happen. Especially with 14 teams in the conference. And RJ is our 4th best player at the moment. He could go up and could down. HoosierAloha Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 It would be completely different if you had like several positive posts about IU basketball and then posted that. However, almost all of your posts are negative. I don't agree that RoJo is a top 25 player at the moment. I actually think he has the ability to do more but is a team player and will do what it takes to win. If JN isn't as good as we think and JBJ isn't fully recovered we might see a RoJo that is a top 25 B1G player. biteoftheapple, mamasa and IUsafety 3 Quote
