For other justifiable criticisms of Woody from a recruiting perspective, he was absolutely right not to go all in here.

Nice win for Ohio St and the B1G.  Reminder these early season non conference games are huge for conferences and determining how many bids a conference will end up with.   Yep I know most  want the other conference teams to stink it up beside IU but you shouldn’t especially if IU has a good team.  You want as many opportunities against good competition to solidly your resume

That win by UCF surprised me. They had one starter with 4 fouls in the first 4 minutes of the second half, another starter picked up his 4th with 15 left. They were missing Mikey Williams and another kid. Not a good loss for Buzz and the Aggies.

I feel somewhat justified ranking Ohio State to begin the season. Will see how long that sticks.

Kansas didn't start AJ Storr as he played 15 minutes and scored 5 points. They didn't start Zeke Mayo either but he came in and scored 19. Self started Northern Illinois transfer David Coit instead.

Notable and a bit surprising especially with Storr.  Bidunga was solid off the bench and made the most of his minutes.

Looked like he played pretty well. Self didn't seem worried about getting dudes minutes. Dickinson played like 21. I think the max was 22 for anyone. But Storr only playing 15 seemed odd. He will probably transfer again.

Asa Newell started his college career with a win for Georgia tonight. The 6-9 freshman finished with 26 point, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks while going 13-22 from the field.

Derik Queen finished with 22 points and 20 rebounds in 27 minutes.
