Lol.

No one wants to argue his draft stock plummeted due to committing a sex crime? That’s something.

Yeah, it's a pretty bad decision by the judge. It's mock drafts which aren't always accurate, for one thing. For another it's what you point out, assuming the drop is true then to blame it on the suspension rather than the pending legal trial  for a sex crime is very questionable.

Someone that truly understands this legally, respectfully, not looking for opinions.

With this ruling, if it holds, say a player commits murder, stabbing, etc. It is on video (just like this crime was). Something more “black and white” for the “she made it up” crowd. The get out on bail and trial is set for months away. Does this same ruling not apply to that?

Isn’t this why there is code of conduct policies etc? Is this judge saying those aren’t legal?

Seems like this is just 1 more thing that is going to lead to movement to full employment, union,‘collective bargaining etc so there can be agreements in place.

Feel like that should be a big headline here. What am I missing? this had nothing to do with innocence at all based on my understanding.

It gets into some deep politics. We live in a country where you can murder someone and be out in 3 days and just keep doing it. Depends where you live obviously. Depends on the judge, the DA, prosecutors and all that jazz of where ever it is all happening. Judges nowadays don't really go by law it seems anymore. Just personal bias and agenda.. but that's my two cents. Technical legal stuff... Couldn't help ya there outside of "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

More than politics it depends if you have the $$$$$ to afford a good/connected attorney $$$$.

That’s been the case forever.

While I wouldn’t go that far, I have mentioned that about 20 years ago our next door pyromaniac 40 year old neighbor set our house on fire.  Destroyed it and killed our dog.  It was the fourth in a series of fires he set in a two month period and their appeared to that there was a long pattern of fires that he didn’t admit to since he was a kid.  He said he liked to smoke crack, set a fire and watch the trucks.  He was out in 2 1/2 years.  I don’t know where he lives now but I have no doubt that someone has or will die from a fire he sets.
