reconmkd Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Good lord UNC, really! Would have preferred them to keep winning for our sake but really? Wake Forest? Quote
str8baller Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 TCU vs Kansas St should have to use alternate jerseys when they play. Way too much purple. HinnyHoosier 1 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 It sounds like they aren't going to do anything in terms of scheduling and the 'randomness' of it. Not sure why. Personally I'm not a fan of 'locked' rivalries -- think it immediately turns into an advantage/disadvantage for a team to have a locked rival based on how good that team is. I.e., if IU/Purdue are locked rivals and guaranteed to play each other twice/year, and Wisconsin/Minnesota are, then Wisky gets a big advantage in conference standings. IMO, schedule should be based on balance as much as possible -- use the standings from the previous year. I also don't like 20 games in conference and would prefer it cut to 18. An 18 game conference schedule could be locked and balanced by even up the double games: group 1: teams that finished 1, 8, 9, and 16 the previous year. group 2: teams that finished 2,7, 10, and 15 the previous year. group 3: teams that finished 3, 6, 11, and 14 the previous year. group 4: teams that finished 4, 5, 12, and 13 the previous year. Each group plays everyone in their own group twice and all other teams once......OR each team in group 1 plays each team in group 4 twice and everyone else once and each team in group 2 plays each team in group 3 twice. This would result in a 19 game conference schedule. The Big 1.o would never go for it but I’d be good with an EPL promotion and relegation style for shits and gigs. Quote
HinnyHoosier Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Maryland takes the lead back from MSU with 12 minutes to play after behind behind by as many as 12 (maybe more). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 I think it's time UK and Cal divorce. I don't hate the guy like most do. But, he has peaked there. Losing to St. Peter's last year wasn't good. To me, that was the start of his downfall. He has a nice class coming in which probably keeps him there. Hardwood83 1 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 7 of Purdues 11 conference wins are against the bottom 4 teams currently in the B1G standings. They are clearly the best team in the country in my opinion but just interesting to see where those wins come from. Don’t have to play at Rutgers, Illinois or Iowa. IU single plays are all currently the bottom 5 teams in the B1G and Maryland which is the only team in IU’s single plays with a winning conference record. IU’s double play teams all have winning conference records as of now. Just got to play the teams in front of you but it’s interesting to really dive into unbalanced schedules after a lot of the schedule has played out ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier, janaslama and 3 others 5 1 Quote
