TheWatShot Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I'm concerned Virginia will fall behind early and will be too slow to come back. Purdue starts off strong in just about every game. I don't think they've trailed by more than 3 points so far in the tournament. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Of course you do. I think the only game you missed this season was Alcorn St/Savannah St and that was only because the stream went down. ;)Lol. Most of the time I overthink the picks because I have watched these teams multiple times all year and end up not doing as well. I think my wife has been better then I have the last couple years. She watches just not nearly the level I take it. This year was the first year I did the survival pick game and I really liked it. You definitely have to think ahead and have a plan mapped out for your picks. I had a solid plan but Tennessee failed me. Joe DeLow Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Personally I’d take Salt and Diakite against the Flying Dutchman and Swanigan Lite any day. To add, I’d probably take everyone for UVA over everyone for Purdue (with the exception of Carsen probably) any day. It’s just whether Bennett lets them open things up if they need to. He won’t. He showed that last year when they got ran out of the gym by UMBC. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Do you put Hunter on Edwards or Cline? I think Cline would struggle with Hunter defending him leaving C. Edwards to bomb away. If he’s not hitting he’ll shoot until he’s on. I think that’s the strategy I use with a little Dook flopping on off ball screens. I don’t believe Hair and Eastern can make enough twos to beat them. Like you said, make Nojel and Haarms beat you. Quote
Joe DeLow Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Who guards Hunter, Guy and Jerome though? Virginia isn’t going to put 100 on you, but those 3 can score. Which is why I find it odd that Bennett never lets them loose. This would be the game to let the dogs loose if you’re Bennett. Edwards would want to run and jack up shots. Let him. WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Hoiberg officially to Nebraska per Rothstein. Splashy hire for sure. With Nebraska doing a lot in the transfer market and that being Hoibergs sweet spot it seems like an incredible hire. When Tim Miles already beats you, this doesn’t help my Hoosier confidence one bit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Deserthoozier, HoosierTrav and MoyeNeeded 3 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersThese are the comments that make zero sense. They gave Miles so much time to make a successful program and saw his ceiling. Now they’re taking a shot at guy who is pretty risky in my mind. Should have immediate recruiting success with the Bulls experience though. Hillsdale87 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Hoiberg officially to Nebraska per Rothstein. Who knows if they'll work out, but Nebraska has made back to back home run hires with Frost in football and now Hoiberg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Iugradman 1 Quote

Like you said, make Nojel and Haarms beat you. I like it. So Clark would have to guard Eifert and Guy on Eastern? I think that works. Hunter might have to switch to Eastern if he’s playing bully ball in the post. Jerome or Guy might be able to draw offensive fouls on him in the post though. Jerome or Guy could also defend Cline. Shooters seem to have a knack to guard other shooter coming off screens. My only fear is how they call the off ball screens though. I’d have Jerome and Guy flopping like crazy early and getting all over the officials until they start calling it. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
