The current building (Frank Erwin Center) lists capacity at 16,734. I saw the Purdon't game at Texas, they were lucky if 6,000 were in the building and I 'm surprised they didn't do what Penn St does with the Mausoleum and tarp off the upper deck to make the place look smaller on TV.

Really can’t help but enjoy reading that. I tend to believe he is a scumbag, UCLA is a historical cheater, and I’m confident in assuming their a present day cheater as well.

Agree! Also, Wooden never gets enough credit for being the father of modern day pay to play and cheating in recruiting. The fact that his legacy is sooo cannonized, but conveniently leaves that part out, I believe has done nothing but pour gas on the dumpster fire that fairness in the ncaa has become.

Shaka is going to be going back to the A-10 soon. Obvious his style won’t work like it did at VCU. Their current arena seats 16,500. It costed $34M to build the Frank Erwin Center(about $140M today). Sure attendance is going down, but is it going down so much that Texas is cutting out 6.5k seats? They must have some really good practice facilities because they will only get limited use of that building per year.

Texas was 36th in the country at 10,490 per game last season and are averaging about 100 over that this year, so it looks to be appropriate.

Like I said, they may or may not have a practice facility. I don’t know. But Texas is a money monster and has it to blow on a $300mil arena, which is insane but true.

Edit: Their practice facility is pretty Cook Hall-esque.

Good for him.  The timing maybe wasn't the best for him to leave mid-season, but IMO best for both parties in the long run.  Hope he has a solid career.
