Hey … remember back when Hunter Dickinson was a really good player?

That was so last year.

He had foul trouble but when he played he looked like an out of shape guy laboriously getting up and down the court in some beer rec league.

Might even be some eligibility issues if I’m reading that right.

Yes, that was mentioned. My guess is that the mom and agent probably don't care about that and might be looking at some of the alternative routes to the NBA. I have no information more than what Stuhoo posted but that is the impression I get reading between the lines.

Penny Hardaway on his Memphis team's struggles: "There aren’t enough guys in that locker room who care about winning unless they are the ones that are helping us win. It’s not team. That’s the danger of having a lot of talent. The talent has to want to play together & right now the talent doesn’t want to play together."

Ahem ... the problem he identified is kinda sorta on him. Also saw Larry Brown again trying to take over huddles last night. It all seems so chaotic.

I am very happy to see that for us, even with a high-level staff, Woody is clearly in charge.

That’s the delicate balance of recruiting and coaching. Mark Few of late has been exceptional at this. Kids need to learn that the NBA loves talent but the NBA loves winning too. That’s why Zeller and Oladipo went higher than they probably deserved, we were #1 most of the year. Big spot light.

I feel like Larry Brown is probably mentally face palming all game at how bad of a coach Penny is. Just because you were a good player, doesn't mean you'll make a good coach. How many star players end up being great coaches?

I'm guessing that by now the face-palming between them is mutual. Larry Brown probably hasn't done well at age 81 with taking a subservient role. He hasn't had a role like this since, I kid you not, 1969.
