TheWatShot Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I know he plays for a different team, so it would benefit us if he didn't return, but it's a weird world we live in now where a kid who isn't projected to be drafted is still viewed as someone who should leave anyway. Honkyman Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Yogi Farrell stayed for his 4th year and still made his way onto an NBA team. Maybe Garza doesn't want to leave Iowa until after setting records like Yogi did at Indiana. Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile appAn even better reason to return. He has no stock. At best a 2nd rounder. Won’t change by coming back. Might as well return and be a star and the front runner for NPOY with a chance to win the Big Ten. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

He still should have returned another year. He had 1st round potential. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I always felt Bryant leaving had more to do with Crean getting fired than feeling pressure to start making money. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the worst choice, considering the alternative would have been a year of trying to learn Archie's overly complicated pack-line defense. Quote

Would have been huge for Archie though to have Newkirk, Johnson, Morgan and Bryant as starters. But I definitely think he felt he had to leave. Same with JBJ. Because neither needed to. Adds depth, but certainly not an impact grad transfer that they could have used given their depleted backcourt with Luther Mohammed leaving. Quote
