Love seeing the way MSU guards and closes out on 3 point shooters. Not giving open looks to shooters like we do.

I loved watching Henry in high school compete and defend. I see him making the all B1G defensive team before his time is up for Sparty.

Yes. Well if it Truly was Anderson vs Henry, edge goes to Henry so far by a wide margin. Henry could be playing McRoberts minutes. Heck he could be playing Justin Smiths minutes.

Plenty of time for Damezi to make a comeback but so far Henry out ahead.

Defensively he would be an upgrade by far. He would at least look to score off the drive unlike McRoberts but he still couldn’t keep a defense honest by hitting outside shots. Air balled another corner 3 today. He gets on the floor for Sparty because he gets down and defends. He played great D on arguably the hardest covering guard in the B1G

Remember when guys catching the tip of someone's elbow above their shoulders was the most over-analyzed, over-scrutinized, over-reviewed play in college basketball, and it resulted in flagrant fouls? Well, say hello to the Hook-and-Hold. When two guys get their arms locked boxing out, officials can now call flagrant fouls if they feel someone is using the arm-lock to prevent a guy from getting a rebound...or something to that effect. Purdue got 2 shots and the ball tonight because someone was literally just performing a basic blockout on Matt Haarms. Supposedly the rule was created as a result of Isaac Haas breaking his arm last year in a similar scenario.

So get ready for replays of guys just boxing out now getting the NFL replay review treatment.

As I stated earlier. At Maryland is a bad matchup for us. Very bad. But honestly most road venues will be.

I think I’ll do my best to avoid the game thread.

It sucks to continue to have a team that I have next to zero confidence in winning on the road.

Maybe someday.......

In the continuing case of Kenpom being confusing Purdue is still 17th at 9-6. You have to go down to 38 for another team with at least 6 losses. I get Purdue has played a tough schedule but they haven’t beaten any of the teams that have made it tough

Idk how they are still receiving votes for the top 25 as well

I don’t understand Georgia fans dogging Crean. Like... you’re Georgia. What the hell has Georgia ever done in basketball(hint: NOTHING). Be happy you got a coach that’s done a little bit of something in his career. I personally hope Crean succeeds and makes Georgia is a program that can make it to the tourney consistently. He’s a great guy and people here should be happy he was able to take us from the absolute bottom of hell and win us two conference titles. Things may not have always been pretty, but they could have been way worse.

Do "Crean" and "make it to the tourney consistently" belong in the same sentence?  Grammar police where are you?  :farting_smiley:

UNC vs NC State was a fun game to watch until the end... NC State started just throwing the ball at the basket (I can't even call most of those shot attempts).... UNC made it hard for them to drive and you could tell NC State had no answer...

Both teams look tough though with a plethora of shooters.

His roster management (or mismanagement) is going to drive them up a wall. That was probably his biggest failure here. His personality just burns people out after awhile. When I think of Crean in a workplace setting, I think of that guy who has a gazillion sticky notes on his desk, three or four different stacks of papers piled up, 10 tabs open on his computer, an overflowing trash can, a cell phone in one hand, a work phone in the other, and three or four people waiting to talk to him because he hasn't planned ahead or prioritized anything. People at Indiana got sick of it, and people at Georgia will too.

Only when separated by "will not".

The box score from their game against UT was painful to see; about 32% from the field, 5% from 3 and 55% from the line.

Going with Drew here. If they had Garland I think Georgia would have no chance tbh
