Michigan st is 3-4 in Quad 1 wins with a SOS of 82 (non con 202). 2 wins against teams projected into the tournament. Kansas is 10-3 in Quad 1 wins with a SOS 2 (non con 16). 10 wins or more against teams projected in field or on the bubble

That makes sense. Just with my eye test (which means nothing) Michigan State beats Kansas by ten on a neutral court. Michigan State has depth and Kansas does not.

Congrats to Mike Roberts (associate head coach) and UNCG! Going dancing for the 3rd time in school history. Laugh at me now but I'm picking the Fighting Mike Roberts' as my upset special this year...I don't care who they play! They're solid and senior led...watch out!

Solid team they have won at NC State this year and will probably be a 14 seed

It helps playing in the Big 12 where teams completely forget what basketball is in the last few minutes of a game against KU. It also helps when your salary cap is a little higher than those other teams.

St Mary’s is going to have a long week wait if they can’t come back and win this game. BYU up 12 with 6 min to go. St Mary’s team sheet is not that impressive

I don't think a team has ever finished the regular season ranked and not made the tournament. I know rankings have nothing to do with it but I guarantee you they're safely in regardless of this loss.

Kansas is literally like the Patriots (except less titles). Teams in the Big 12 are scared of them.

More from @BigTenNetwork -- "2018 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament not only produced BTN’s largest aggregate tournament viewership ever, up 99% over the 2017 tournament and 142% over 2016 tournament, but also the top basketball audience over a 3-day period in network history."

BTN TV ratings for B1G Tournament: Average audience for Thursday & Friday sessions "bested competing programming on every national cable sports network in Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, DC."

B1G in New York was a success. Hated what they had to do to make it happen but those are some impressive numbers

Illinois is going nowhere. Underwood was another bad hire. That guy irked me when he said Juwan Morgan, "should travel his *** back to Missouri. I yelled at him from about 15 feet away. Dude is a douchebag. Cries about everything.

Probably less to do with NY and more to do with being a week early

I disagree NY had a ton to do with it. Sold out sessions for the first time since 2013. People came and watched and more importantly the kids playing the games loved it. I was totally against it and said attendance would be down. I was wrong and thought it was a success and the games were great

There may be some correlation between tv ratings and attendance but pretty sure the boosted tv ratings were because it was the only major conference tourney going on

That was my thinking process also. If it had to compete with the ACC, Big 12, and other conferences, i dont know if B1G would have gotten that much TV viewership. That could be why the TV ratings were up, because it was the only basketball on in that time slot. Plus during the day, ANY basketball conference games is better than listening to Stephen A run his trap.
