WSU also had shot ruble showing losing to USC yesterday and then Bama tonight. They have a good excuse with Van Fleet out though.

yeah even without van fleet they still should of beat Alabama. I saw Bama lose to Dayton by 32. Speaking of Dayton. They r in a dog fight with Monmouth Dayton up 3 with 3 to play

momouth looks like the type of team that will pull an upset as a 14 or 13 seed in March if they get in the tourney. I will definitely keep an eye on them.

11, 14, 15, 18, 20, & 25 all go down yesterday (all but #18 is an upset).... College Basketball is crazy to start out this year.... doesn't make me feel any better about IU except that a lot of teams will have that bad loss when it comes to March.

So I pretty much assumed it was a given  with our performance in Maui that when the polls come out tomorrow we will no longer be included.... however with all these teams losing as well this week what are the chances we hang in around the 23-25 range?

 

I know polls at this point in the season don't mean much, but they DO to fans like me.... especially if UofL is one of the teams that breaks into the polls as we fall out.

IU is gonna give Duke major problems especially on guard penetration. Utah St getting a lot of open looks just not hitting.

it wouldn't surprise me to see us still ranked in the poll that ESPN uses. At the beginning of the year iu vs duke was one of the marquee matchups in the big ten/ acc challenge. ESPN would like the sound of 2 ranked teams playing instead of duke playing unranked iu. After watching the first couple of weeks in my opinion there were 8 teams that stood out from the rest of the field after those teams there were about 40 teams that could flip flop between each other Basically i wouldn't pay attention to a teams seed number in the tournament in March. I feel there will be more upsets then usual. Since it is early teams will get better as the year moves on hopefully iu will be one of them

Not a chance. Even earlier in the gimmie games I didn't think we were a top 25 team. We have a lot to improve on defensively, as well as TO. But we all know that

Still no way we stay ranked. Even the St Johns game we won, we looked bad!

Just saying the talking heads on ESPN making a big deal about iu losses were only combined 7 points and that we are still a good basketball team. Do I think we are deserving from what I've seen so far, absolutely not but I could see us still ranked. Monmouth should be ranked in front of us regardless
