Glad to hear both that they're visiting Devin and that they are supporting Holt. Both honestly need their team equally right now. I can't even imagine how Holt feels. Seems like a good kid, just caught up in a bad accident/situation.

1.  Is he practicing?

 

2.  Is he physically hurt at all?  I am sure he is hurting emotionally, but what about in body?

I'm not a huge fan of Doyle...I've been reading his thoughts for the better part of 10 years now...regarding college basketball...

and I'm not condoning drinking alcohol by minors in any situation...although I'm not condemning it either, as I broke that law many times over...

 

I guess the point that I want to make is...EH blowing a .025 isn't that far from swishing your mouth with Listerine and throwing back a shot of NyQuil for a cold...

 

the other point I want to make is...this isn't an alcohol related problem...it simply isn't...

there have been studies done that reveal that that small of a BAC can and will affect mood, but not motor skill...

 

let's steer clear of the drama for a minute and look at the facts...

this was a horrible accident, and NOT a result of the driver being negligent...

Those are the facts. No doubt but it also happens to be another hit to the basketball program.

These things have to stop. No I not judging this to really be a big alcohol event like HP. No I am not thinking we should even entertain getting rid of Holt or Davis. I do agree with Doyle though that the Indiana basketball program needs to stop being the recipient of bad mojo.

Whether self inflicted or accidental, the frequency is hurting the program and Crean.

I see a lot of not alcohol related posts but they r wrong. It is according to law and we dont know devins bac but this accident smells of alcohol on his end that being said he could have been stone cold sober for all we know but at the end of the story a minor consuming alcohol happened and that makes it sadly alcohol related

I'm a longtime Bloomington resident with a child who, along with some children of parents employed by IU's sports programs, varsity club, and athletic department, attend BHSN. I won't say who, but my kid was told by a couple of his friends whose dads are in positions to know, that Devin Davis was indeed intoxicated and, after being let out of Holt's car, ran the short distance from Memorial Stadium's parking lot and into the path of the car. Holt panicked and fled the scene, but quickly returned before Bloomington Police Officer Jeff Canada arrived. Canada said he did not identify the other occupants of the car. However, there were two passengers, Yogi Ferrell and Troy Williams.

I mean even if no other information comes out I am sure the next several days will be dark for CTC given this situation. A player of his is in the hospital after being hit by another player. There's no way those days wouldn't be dark.
