Victor Oladipo - Memphis Grizzlies

Recommended Posts

He's never really had an opportunity to be the 1 or 2 option; and playing with Westbrook limited him.   He has that chance now.  His skill set can take him about as far as he wants to go.  He's better as a catalyst, for sure.  I want so badly to compare him to Dwayne Wade because of his ability to get to the FT line, and his ability to quickly get to the rim.   His best days are ahead of him.   Needs to lead the team and get them to buy in defensively.  Heard today that you could have bet the Pacers over/under wins at 23.   Wish I had seen that.

Victor and the Pacers had a really good game tonight, beating the Timberwolves 130-107.

28 pts. 11/16
3 asts.
3 rebs.
2 stls.

Would have gone for 40 if not for foul trouble. We looked gooooood tonight

Just now, Hoosier Guy said:

This Pacers team is a lot more exciting than last year. PG didn’t care last year so I didn’t either. Now, VO is here and he’s killing it. Shout out to Sabonis as well. Guy has also been really good

As a huge Pacers fan, I firmly believe this team wouldn't be as good without Oladipo and Sabonis and had PG.

Dont follow them as close as you do most likely but that sounds about right. Sabonis has had some good games and Victor has looked good so far. Really happy for him.

So far this season, Vic is living a dream and I hope he doesn't wake up!  His last 4 games:

28 points / 28 points /  35 points / 23 points + game-winner vs. Spurs.

This from a post-game article:

It's no secret Oladipo has become the Pacers' go-to guy, and he was the focal point of the Spurs' defense. Oladipo made things more difficult for himself by committing his second foul midway through the first quarter, robbing him of some playing time. However, give the Spurs credit for making Oladipo work for everything he got. Because the Pacers rarely had fast-break opportunities, Oladipo's forays to the basket were limited. And whenever Oladipo put the ball on the floor, the Spurs quickly rotated to give help.

Oladipo did a good job staying patient, not forcing shots, and passing to the open man. But when it was time to take over, Oladipo did exactly that. He wanted the ball, he wanted to make the big shot, and when the opportunity presented itself, Oladipo capitalized. That's another encouraging sign for the Pacers.
