Sad for little brother-----waive the white flag and quit pretending you're IU's equal!

 

But I don't want them to leave the BIG---I'd miss the rivalry and besides---they're just so much fun to beat!

If the numbers in that article are correct, they have reason to complain that athletics should be a little more of a priority.

With that being said, if they even try to argue that they're better than us I'm linking them to this article.

Wow is all I can say. Not living in IN for many years I didn't know how bad things are in West Lafayette. 33,000 for home football games is hard to believe. I hope they get it turned around as my hatred for Purdue died along with their athletic program.

Reading this article does remind me why the Purdue fans in Southern Indiana have either gone silent or are downright mad about the state of their sports programs---guess I did not realize it was so bad and bleak!

got a good Purdue story...

 

my Freshman year in high school...my Freshman coach was a Purdue grad, and huge fan of the Boilers...

he knew that the majority of the team were either IU, UK or Louisville fans...

and he used that against us...

 

one particular practice...we all were draggin ass...and he put us all on the baseline, gearing us up for a good length of time of running base lines...

 

however...he gave us one out...

he told us that if anyone was a Purdue fan...then the entire team would forgo a good deal of running...

 

he asked if any of us were Purdue fans...and nobody raised their hands...

...and we had to run for a good solid hour...
