Kenny Johnson to Louisville

Recommended Posts

We sucked because we had an incompetent coach, laughable offensive sets, a selfish PG, a lottery pick big whom our coach only let play 27 mpg, and the fact that this team thought it would be a good idea to turn the ball over 20 times a game. None of these reasons connect to Kenny Johnson.

To use your quote...thats your opinion. Said my piece about Johnson, but I do feel he has very much been a part of our issues..not all, but definitely part. You can choose to feel otherwise and I won't try to change your mind...just voiced mine.

Oh, and our "laughable" offensive sets produced top ten offenses nationally and the best offense in the B1G for two straight years before last year. So I guess we are to assume that you blame ALL of last years troubles on the players? The coaching had NOTHING to do with it, right? Well, I would like for someone to answer this for me. Please point me to the last time that CTC called a timeout, drew up a play, and then actually scored on the play. I have a lot of games on the DVR and I swear I have scoured them for just such a scenario. And you know what.....Nothing, nada zilch! There is no question that CTC can develop players, and is a pretty fair recruiter....But to say that he is an offensive genius is just ridiculous! I, like all of you, hope that last year was a fluke. But I am afraid that it is just the tip of the iceberg. So the question that I pose to ya'll is.  Is it ok to have a couple good years, and then suck a couple and then a couple good etc.? That's not the Indiana basketball that I grew up with, and you darn right that I am never gonna be happy about it!     BTW, I don't feel like I jacked this thread, because it was already jacked.  : )

I believe IU was top 10 in PPP ATO the two seasons prior to this past one. I guess Zeller was drawing up some incredible plays during timeouts. Coach should have kept those plays handy.

So who do you all think would be a good replacement if he does leave? I'd love to see an IU guy in there. I know AJ Guyton would love to be a part of the program. Greg Graham could possibly be a good one. I know he coach DD. I'm new here so sorry if I'm going off topic or anything.
Guys, we should get Brad Stevens to replace KJ
lmao. Then if we falter it is because Crean didn't utilize his coaching staff to its fullest potential.

We have a mediocre coach, Mike Davis was an incompetent coach.  Although I do end up laughing at our half court "offense" sometimes.

Sounding more and more like this is a mutual parting of the ways at best.... Glass saying we're trying to keep him seems like a smoke screen to put a bad light on KJ if he were to go.... [ especially if it were UL ] .

Did Calbert ever have a statement about why he left with the usual thanking of Coach Crean  and the University, etc? Makes a fan really wonder what's going on!
