JSHoosier Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Well thanks to my cousin and aunt we spent another 5 hours in the ER tonight (they were convinced she was released too soon and the antibiotics weren't helping). They ran all sorts of tests, good news is the blood tests came back normal, white blood cell count was normal, XRay was normal. They wanted to do a CT scan with contrast to rule out a blood clot and there was no sign of a clot, but it did pick up something with some of her nodes and one of her lungs and said it could be a chronic condition with her being a long time smoker, they sent her home with a nebulizer and want her to see her primary physician and he could send her to a lung specialist. Now I'm going to be worried about that. Yay. Quote
TheWatShot Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I stopped praying a few years ago after losing my dad and three of my grandparents in less than five years (two to cancer, one to cardiac arrest and another to heart medicine that was improperly manufactured). But reading this thread, I'll pray for those that need it. If it's not going to help me, maybe it can help someone else. 8bucks 1 Quote
LazOffTheBench Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I am continuing to pray for JS's mother and Bowhunter's wife. Lord, bless them and restore them to perfect health. Amen. hoosierfan6157 and LockdownD 2 Quote
JSHoosier Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Thanks everyone. An update, her primary physician sent her to a lung specialist about a week ago and he looked over her tests from both the hospital stay and the other ER visit and said it's an infection and that there was improvement. Gave her an inhaler and told her to keep using the nebulizer she was given by the ER Dr. and said she should be fine in 4-6 weeks. That's one less thing for me to worry about. hothoosiersmom5 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I am just learning about this prayer line and I must say, This is awesome! I pray night and day and sometimes in the noon and evening. I pray when Jesus calls me or when I need to talk to him. I will stop in the middle of whatever I am doing, and I pray to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. HE is where my strength and power come from and I humbly and gratefully thank HIM for all HE has done in my life and my son's life. I have Lupus, Thyroid Disease, HBP, Diabetes and now the Lupus has started attacking my liver but I know I am blessed every day I open my eyes and get up and get on my knees and thank God for another day. Lord I do pray that I am here to see my son, Troy, make it to the next level of basketball after IU. Lord YOU HAVE SAVED ME SO MANY TIMES AND I KNOW YOU HAVE ME HERE FOR A REASON, and that reason, I believe, is TO SEE MY SON GO ALL THE WAY! Jesus I pray for each and every person on this prayer line to have comfort, joy and peace for whatever they may be going through. Father YOU see all and know all, so I'm praying for us ALL. IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY GHOST. JESUS THIS IS MY PRAYER. AMEN Naturalhoosier, OliviaPope40, Walking Boot of Doom and 4 others 7 Quote
8bucks Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Keep me in your prayers. Started feeling off a fee weeks now and probably should have gone straight to bed after church but it was one of the boys birthdays so he wanted to go out to eat. I barely made it to the table while fighting the urge to pass out. Tried to force in some food but no good it kept getting worse. I was shaking my head trying to stay awake when mid order I had to bolt for the ER. Fortunately we had some of the older kids there who could drive so we left the kids with them. No apparent heart attack no app etc bit some minor enzyme increase. Staying overnight. Potasium was low too. Seeing heart guy tomorrow morning. Bowhunter Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Update on my wife. . She has nine more chemo treatments and a double mastectomy to go. She is handling treatments well. Biggest hurdle right now is her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma about four weeks ago and was given less than a year to live. Her mom is her best friend. I am worried about them both. I will be praying for you all as well. Thanks! hothoosiersmom5 1 Quote
