This image from an original tweet today by Azy Jackson (@Azy_Jackson} was re-posted by Colsten Thompson.  No dates are referenced, but it clearly indicates she's planning an OV to IU.  Listed at 6'4" she previously attended Bonney Lake HS in Bonny Lake, WA, located southeast of Tacoma.  She announced at an earlier date she would transfer to Auburn HS in Auburn, WA for her senior year.  She played AAU on an independent circuit and suffered an AAU season ending knee injury in early July.  Auburn HS is located northeast of Tacoma.  She is ranked #19 by ESPN.  I haven't found any evidence that we've extended an offer but if she's taking an OV, she either has one that hasn't been publicized or she'll leave Bloomington with one.

Since Ali Patberg re-tweeted the Jackson tweet, I'm thinking she'll be in Bloomington this weekend.

First official visit in a few days! So blessed and thankful to have made it here. Grateful my knee is doing well and I’ll be able to walk around campus and take everything in. Can’t believe this time has already come. Thank you Lord

Good and yes it is a good one with potential.  96 5 star per ESPN.  But is going to miss the upcoming season.  ACL.

So to a degree IU is taking a chance and she is taking a chance on IU….did some of the elite programs recruiting competition downgrade because they don’t have to take a chance.  They just go and recruit an injury free another 5 star at 96.

However, a big positive is she wants to stay for 4 or 5 years….will see if she fully recovers from injury during freshman and or sophomore years.   Get NIL ready.  IU may have gotten her at affordable NIL if that was a factor and did upcoming season with injury figure into it.

Well Colvin's reign as highest ranked recruit in program history lasted only a few weeks since Jackson is four spots higher. Sixth time Colsten Thompson has reeled in the highest ranked player in program history since becoming recruiting coordinator and second time for 2027 class.

These two classes look MUCH more like Michigan's classes with immediate impact players after losing Naz Hilmon who brought program to a top level much like Berger and Holmes did at same time. Michigan never dropped off since these top classes came as soon as Hilmon left and were contributors immediately.

IU's pipeline was delayed a couple of years, hence the drop off, but seems to be fully flowing now with Thompson at helm.

The talent that will be on the roster next season really puts the heat on CTM to prove her coaching chops.  Expectations will be sky high among the fan base.

I’d say she’s proved her coaching chops multiple times over, but yeah now she once again, after a drought, has real talent and it matches the goal of getting more athletic and bigger, to go with the increase in talent. Expectations will grow - and good.
