str8baller Posted February 21 Posted February 21 AI says it is the worst loss in over 50 yrs. Don’t really trust AI but I can’t think of a worse loss. Quote

No excuses, no cutting corners, all gas no brakes. I'm not real optimistic that will actually happen but it sounded hopeful when I wrote it. Agreed open the book for an Elite PG. It’s time to have an Elite point guard. A great Point guard can hide a lot of issues. Get a defensive and great rebounding big. Then some shooters and a Goode Esq player off the bench Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Dorn a cool 4/30 over the last 5 games. Yeesh. Thats bad enough I have to think it’s a sign he’ll never be a valuable starter here HoosierDevils 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 21 Posted February 21 There was a poster that saw this season coming as it was being built but was told he’s too much of a pessimist and just loves being negative. Never understood the vision. We are exactly what I thought we’d be. I thought DeVries would be better. Besides that, this is what I saw coming as it was being built. Not sure who is knocking down the doors to play at IU next year after what we’ve put together. Really gonna be a challenge for the staff this offseason. Ryno6284 and ronzo4IU 2 Quote
HoosierDevils Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Widest margin in the IU-PU rivalry since the 1969. It was rough on many fronts looking that up including scrolling by the 2014-2021 stretch where IU went 1-12. EDIT: Apologize for posting the same thing as @Uspshoosier. I just now saw it! str8baller 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Two road games this week. Two losses by an average of 24.5 points. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote

And paying what we will need to pay, we can’t miss much. Not a single projected returner/freshman that projects to a starter on a top 20 team. I could see Dorn/Sisley with a lot of improvement or maybe Prince as the 4th/5th option. (Maybe). Lots of teams are gonna return dudes. Because the pay is too good to ignore. Quote

HoosierDevils Posted February 21 Posted February 21 DDV had many—including me—happy to see improvements in the analytics over the course of the season. Well, that has ended. IU was preseason 40 on KP and is now 41. Quote

(What a fun time that and the previous season were!) I think overall in this series this is the second widest margin since that 1969 game Shooter 1 Quote
Shooter Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Embarassing loss. Just one of those nights. For most of the season we have run really nice offense against mediocre to bad teams, and been completely overwhelmed by good teams. Have to hope it's a roster limitation issue more than a scheme issue. Home Jersey 1 Quote

Plenty of posters said this team would a bottom of the bracket seeded team and that’s exactly where they are at. If you thought this team was an upper tier team then that’s on the individual posters. Nothing wrong with hoping though to each their own Hollywood Mike Miranda, Home Jersey, MonteMarcaccini and 2 others 5 Quote

Jeff Flabjohns Posted February 21 Posted February 21 2-9 in Quad 1. Back on the bubble. Top 20 roster spend and could easily miss the tournament again HoosierDevils 1 Quote

Michigan and Illinois are whatever. But the worst loss against Purdue in 50 yrs and somehow the Iowa games might have been a worse showing yet. Archie/Woody/Davis territory on those losses. Make the tourney and kill it in the portal and we can all see a bright future. We need someone who can recruit Europeans. Purdue has a freshman Euro putting it on us and we have two who can’t find the floor. Home Jersey 1 Quote
Unexpectedflash Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Only watched a half but against teams that pressure us we pass it around the perimeter for 20 seconds without even a look at the basket and then heave up a contested shot. Wish we played faster. Not much drive and kick against good teams RoadRage, Home Jersey, BannerVille and 1 other 4 Quote
