Both of Cig’s opening games have looked like a lot of guys were still learning and adjusting. Based on that 40.5 feels like a lot unless Cig has some grudge against North Texas.

I have a grudge against North Texas. I went to the game in Denton in 2011 in a full IU jumpsuit and we were losing 24-0 at one point I believe. All their fans let me know about it…pretty embarrassing.

They also didn’t sell liquor in that city, not sure wtf that was about.

North Texas had a really good season last year, only losing to South Florida and Tulane (in the CUSA title game).  Offensively they averaged 45 points per game.  Obviously didn't play anyone of Indiana's caliber, but as mid majors go they were pretty damn good.  Personally, I think the 40.5 line is inflated.  I expect IU to win easily but I wouldn't give that many points.

They also lost their coach and the players who followed him, including their QB.

I had no idea that Tayven Jackson transferred to North Texas in the offseason and is their expected starter.  Wish him all the luck in the world outside of their opener.

The chip on Tayven's shoulder......
