Kickoff is less than 12 hours away and I'm not seeing a game thread, so here we go ..

ISU is coached by Bill Mallory's son and former IU assistant Curt, who is in his eighth season in Terre Haute. Sycamores are 2-0 with wins over McKendree and Eastern Illinois. Hoosiers are favored by 45.5 (FanDuel). We last played the Trees in 2023, winning 41-7.

On BTN, Lisa Byington is handling play-by-play, with Jared Thomas the analyst and Melanie Ricks on the sidelines.

And can we just go ahead and say what an obnoxious starting time this is. I don't like college football on Friday nights in the first place -- but 6:30? Whoever heard of that? That's 5:30 in some parts of Indiana. If you HAVE to give us a Friday night game, at least give us a much more reasonable 8 or 8:30 kickoff. 6:30 is just stupid ...

Not sure if Indiana State has a 3 star rated player from high school?  Rather, maybe a couple players made their way to ISU as a player that might be comparable to a 3 star based on performance.

Are there any 2 star rated players? if there is such a rating category….and a bunch of non rated players.

IU significantly bigger (lbs and size) , stronger, faster (Indiana State may have a player or two with some speed) and more skilled at every position on the whole roster.

Keep Indiana State players safe and no freak injuries for IU nor either team.

IU coach has made reference to IU playing a clean game.

The reason the IU game is at 6:30 is cuz the UCLA game follows at 10.

Double greed!!

Yep -- but why does UCLA need to start at 10? That's 7 in L.A., which is probably as annoying for those folks as 6:30 is for us.

Why not start the UCLA game at 11 or even 11:30? That's 8 or 8:30 out west.

I suppose BTN knows they will have a very limited audience that late. But it's UCLA football. Very few people in the East or Midwest care anyway. I'll probably have it on because I stay up late and usually like to have a ballgame on if I can. But I'm guessing I'll be one of the very few in the Eastern time zone.

I find it mildly humorous that folks are upset about the starting time for a non-conference game that everyone says is crap and shouldn’t be on IU’s schedule.  And it’s going to negatively impact Friday night hs games to boot!   Sorry, but I find it funny.  lol

I’m trying to get pumped for this, but the Friday night thing is pissing me off lol. I hope we show improvements in the areas needed, but hate that it will be at ISU’s expense (I’ve got a soft spot for them)

Watching IU on TV and my local high school on the internet.
