I realize beating an inferior team by 30 is much better than winning by 3 but is there a point at which extra points don’t help anymore (ie is a 50 point win considered better than a 42 point win by the metric being used) ?

Football doesn’t have NET (thank GAWD) so I think it just boils down to eye test and improving your efficiency metrics like SP+ where the score itself doesn’t matter as much as how you get there.

There was an obvious PI on IU in the 2nd quarter is the only other one I can think of.
