I don't hold the same animosity toward Illinois football as I do their basketball, but boy am I tired of hearing about that group. They'll be a bowl team, congrats, but that has a flame out written all over it. If I hear that 2025 Illinois is 2024 Indiana one more time I'm going to lose it.

2024 Indiana was almost universally picked bottom three (two? one?) in the Big Ten, was coming off a trainwreck couple of seasons not to mention a century+ of suck, a new coach talking a bunch of s**t and getting laughed at for it, and a roster full of overlooked G5 guys. And then went out and busted everybody's ass with the only exceptions being the two teams that played for the title.

There will never be another 2024 Indiana.

For me, the 2024 season alone is good enough to hoist a Coach Cig statue.

My educated, but non-expert guess has this at like 98% for Big Noon Kickoff after looking at the slate for Sept 20. Pretty likely to have the pregame show too. NBC and CBS games are already picked and the rest of the Big Ten and Big 12 games that weekend blow. 

I imagine Gameday will be at Miami vs Florida that day.

Florida is @LSU for next week’s ABC prime time game. If that’s where Gameday goes, wonder if they’ll give UF two weeks in a row.

There's also Georgia at Tennessee and aTm at Notre Dame so they have options.

Definitely wasn’t counting on Florida dropping one before LSU/Miami. I think this may be in play now. Illinois will be firmly top-10, we should be top-15. They were last at Utah in 2023. Both our game and Utah will be on the FOX family of networks.

I  don't think it’s ever happened. I could be wrong though. They have played each other when both were ranked at some point during the season (1946) but I don't think they played each other were they were both ranked for the game itself.
