2025-2026 IU Roster

Recommended Posts

If we are done with the transfer portal as someone on here stated then maybe we look at some high school de-commits or guys withdrawing from the NBA draft for our last roster spot. Nothing against Anthony Leal but I hope those rumors are not true.

Leo Curtis- decommit from Arizona State-guess several other programs involved

Chol Machot-7'0" decommit from Mississippi State- spent one year in the juco ranks

Aleksa Vlajic-6'10" decommit from Fordham=originally from Serbia played one year of hs ball in the US.

Thomas Sorber -in the draft from Georgetown maybe Kenny has a connection would be absolute best case scenario.

Depth Chart:

First team:

Conerway/Wilkerson/Devries/Goode/ Bailey

Second Team:

Enright/Leal/Miles/Dorn/Alexis

Get in where ya fit in:

Harris/Drake/Sisley

Thoughts? Short on bigs but the squad is DEEP

Probably close.  Miles/Goode/Dorn fighting for starting role.

Harris will play.  Drake fighting for Enright/Leals spot.  Sisley will probably be brought along slowly but practice will dictate.

Defense of your first unit will be rough.  That’s one reason I wonder if Dorn/Miles plays over Goode to start?

Our Big depth is laughable.  Is Bailey gets injured we are thin quickly.  If 2 frontcourt players have problems we are in nightmare land.

Move Goode down, move Harris up.

Couldn’t agree more. I wanted someone with a great wing span but at this point I’ll just take more depth at the big position.  More years than not, it seems like we have a big in the “dreaded boot.” If one of Alexis, Bailey, or Harris go down for a period of time then we are in a very precarious situation…and nobody can dispute that…which is why I hope CDD gets one more big for our last 2 remaining spots. If 2 go down…YIKES!

This seems obvious yet not at all the plan. Had the resources to get a center.  Choosing to go the Goode/Leal direction.   It’s unfortunate.  I really like Goode.  He’s a #1-8 player.  I really like Leal.  His impact is tough.  Clearly he impacts winning.  However the glaring size deficiency is what makes it tough.  I’m Sure DeVries knows this isn’t Drake basketball in the B1G.  Hoping he outsmarts the room.

Does anyone wonder if Sisley is going to/willing to redshirt? I feel with the roster IU has he could absolutely redshirt.

He's getting paid NIL so they won't want to redshirt him. A player willing to redshirt would probably also have to be willing to take little to no NIL for that season.

I hope we heavily look into/use that option. It clearly works for other programs.

Two competing concepts:

  1. Top 75 recruits, which Trent Sisley is, rarely if ever redshirt.
  2. Pretty much every player that is not going to the NBA wants to extend college NIL years as long as possible; that's where the money currently is above and beyond a proven star in Europe.

#1 doesn't mean a hill of beans to me. Trey Kaufmann RS his FR year, and Trey was considerably more physically developed than Sisley. Trey Kaufman was T50. It should be about what's best for each kid.

I also don't really see CBB as "doing well at developing" talent, so maybe they need to look into different routes to develop kids.

Pretty sure Kauffman was injured his freshman year and that's why he redshirted. Pretty thin in the frontcourt as is with next years bunch. Unless Josh Harris is just leaps and bounds better than Sisley, which would be disappointing, I think he should definitely be able to compete for minutes.

I'm not sure what would be disappointing about it... he was avg 17p 7r as a true FR through 11-12 games and then had an ankle injury.

Especially with having so many veterans. He can sit back and just learn from Tucker for a year and battle him in practice and then be ready for heavy playing time when Tucker leaves.

Anyone else having trouble keeping the roster straight in your head at this point? I feel like there are so many interchangeable parts at the 2-4 that I can never remember more than 8 or 9 of the guys on the roster at any given time.

I don’t even try lol. I’m just gonna trust Coach D and staff and let them figure it out and just sit back and enjoy.
