With 11 losses, no way did Purdue deserve a No. 4 seed -- and to get sent to the Indy regional.

It pays to be Matt Painter and be adored by the media. The selection committee is made up of human beings who are biased for certain people/teams and biased against others. When Purdue was announced as the 4 in the Midwest, it almost felt like they were saying "Tough season, Purdue, but we love what you did last year, so here you go."

PU definitely got some calls but why in the world did that ref swallow his whistle on that push off with 2.2 to go. The Houston dude’s “arm bar” was fully extended, knocking down the 5,000,000 man, right in front of the ref. Right in front of him.

The MBB refs really detract from the game.

Was a bit of a different play, but that reminded me of our loss to Illinois when we were No. 1 in 2013.

We got caught up in a series of screens, an Illini player was left wide-open for a layup and like Purdue tonight, we were left standing there with our d-cks in our hands.

That was the genius of John Groce. LOL!

Sadly, you’re right.   I remember that play like it was yesterday.

Beautiful play call and execution.

Tough teams winning games. Guards winning games. Athletic teams winning games. Are we paying attention yet?

Yeah that play call at the end was perfect- that’s a Hell of an X’s and O’s coach, and well executed

I've had some pretty wicked insomnia lately, so that's why I'm still up. But when is the NCAA going to decide enough is enough with these games running past midnight? It was 12:45 a.m. when Purdue's season ended.

It’s maddening…as maddening as it is. It’s March

Couldn’t bring myself to watch PU-UH last night, no thanks, but just saw the Uzan no call and that really was about as egregious a swallowing of the whistle as you’ll ever see. Dude is 10’ from the play with a perfect angle and 100% clear view of an easy call. Easy, that’s offense 100 times out of 100. Wow. I don’t care about PU getting jobbed, but I freaking hate refs “not wanting to decide the game”  by not calling something they auto call for 39:50 of the game and thereby, whoops, deciding the game. Much worse than the missed goaltending because sometimes they’re just gonna not see things. But this was consciously deciding that there’s simply nothing that can happen here that I’m gonna call. Nothing.

Game of two halves in terms of calls.  First half, Purdue got every call, second half, Houston got the calls.

But man, was that 2.2 second defense as bad as it could be.  You HAVE to make Houston make a shot to beat you.  Braden Smith was guarding the in bounds throw and ran off that to cut to a player when another Purdue player got lost on a pick.  Heide failed to switch to the in bounds man -- again, have to make them make a shot, so you have to switch to the interior man.

Purdue got screwed.  I felt sorry for them.  No, no I didn't.

8 of the top 9 Kenpom teams make up the Elite 8. I'm guessing that's never happened before.

Usually I enjoy the first weekend and then the S16 can kinda suck bc of some previous upsets. I’m excited to see this elite 8 and final four from a quality standpoint.

Everyone wondered why Houston was the Midwest #1 and had to go to Indy to face Purdue, but why is Florida in the West? It's about 2,500 miles from Tallahassee to San Francisco.

Houston to the West and Florida to Indy would have made more sense. Still feels like the committee pandered to Purdue this year. No way they get that much of a crowd in San Francisco and Florida probably would have waxed them.
