Hemby would be a major step to increase athleticism. Pribula would be a step forward too.

A mobile qb would be fantastic….and I think that’s what Cig is looking for. In all of Rourke’s positive attributes, his one negative was glaring - no mobility.

I know you can’t do it, but not giving Tayven a chance in the second half was a missed opportunity. Maybe it would have been just as bad but he is scrambling ability would have been helpful.

Very encouraging press conference from Coach Cig.   Made it quite clear that ND had bigger and faster recruits. Coach is being real with himself and that’s great to hear.  We need to step up in getting a few players that can match up.

I think he knew going in and thus the conservative game plan, trying to avoid a complete blowout by 40 some points.  Thinking a little longer term.

All I ever really dared dream for IU football was that we’d be something like Iowa or Wisconsin: pretty consistently 7+ wins, occasionally 10 and/or a Rose Bowl appearance. Well, this year exceeded the ceiling of that and while time will tell, I think Cig has put the floor even higher than those programs already, in one year.

This season goes up near the very top of my favorite seasons of being a fan in any sport — alongside the ‘03 and ‘15 Cubs, slightly above ‘11-‘12 iubb…maybe only surpassed by the ‘16 Cubs.

I think we have every reason to think IU can someday return to the CFP. But even if they don’t, hats off to the ‘24 Hoosiers.
