He has consistently given most his minutes to starters. Not the guys off the bench. Injuries have opened up more minutes. But Woody and most coaches for that matter play their starters more than bench players. It will be interesting how the summer goes but with a freshmen to sophomore jump, I dont expect Galloway to be as talented as Rice, Carlyle, or Mgbako.

Tamar Bates averaged 20+ minutes off the bench his sophomore year and he didn't offer the positional flexibility that Galloway does.  I expect Gallo is still going to get his minutes.  Not the minutes he had this year obviously, but that was also out of necessity.

FWIW, according to POM the bench under Woodson has been 177th, 227th, and 168th in minutes player per game in D1.  With 358 D1 teams, he plays his bench an average amount of minutes -- on average about 60 minutes per game.  In an average game he has played the bench about 60 minutes.

Another 39% career three point shooter. And he can rebound and defend without fouling. Not a rim protection athlete big though.

Gimme Anderson or Goode(rumor floating he’s soon to enter portal possibly). Maybe I missed it here in previous comments. Then Goodman can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine with his comments via Twitter

3 or small 4.  Rebounds well enough  Surprised that IU could get him on campus as there doesn't seem to be all that much open playing time unless you are going small.  But he shoots it very well and is a steady player.  Would serve two purposes then as he'd be a shooter we could use + provide depth at the 3 and 4.  If he were to commit, I would think we would still need a backup 5 for depth and injury protection.

Zach Anderson FGCU F on campus now

Zach is physically big enough to play four while Malik moves to five to give Ballo a rest and of course give Malik a rest as well.  I’ve seen him play a good bit.

Anderson would be a four on the current roster.

Ballo at the five backed up by Reneau who will start at the four is good, but if Ballo or Reneau got hurt we’ve got a real problem for 15 minutes a game with Anderson and Mgbako as our two biggest guys in the court.

Visiting Colorado last that was reported

FWIW, Washington State's Andrej Jakimovski signed with Colorado yesterday.  He's more of a 3/stretch 4 but could have an effect on Malone's status/Colorado's desire to get Malone who would be a 4/5.

Hard to play your bench a ton of minutes when 300+ Kenpom teams are playing you within single digits in your own building.

And you’re a fan of him as a B1G player?

I think he’d do just fine.  Mature player.  Certainly would unclog the middle with his 3 pt shooting.

That seems like a pretty damn reasonable assessment for a guy who would be counted on for 15 minutes a game.

Much thanks for weighing in Nips.

Maybe more if Malik gets in foul trouble!
