Probably will hear about who is visiting this weekend soonish I think

I have no idea but don’t you think Easter weekend is probably not a big visits weekend? I could see the coaches working through, given the time structures, but maybe the players just want to hang with their families?

I have no idea but if it’s a quiet weekend I won’t stress.

You’re probably right. That said somebody else is always working when you’re not and Easter isn’t IMO a “huge” holiday nationally that everyone celebrates. So I’d think coaches are willing to host any recruits that want to visit that weekend. Maybe there are less of them than usual. But I think with how quickly things move and the money involved that won’t be a major hold up for many. JMO. I won’t be concerned either if it’s quiet.

Totally agree. It may not be a holiday so much as a time for families to hang, but the whole family benefits from NIL—loved Wilkerson telling Goodman his first purchase was something for his mom.

This is what Torvik projects for minutes from our current seven players (please note that it's just a tool meant for fun and the numbers can be off on some players....ie...when Peyton Sparks came to IU, Torvik had him projected at 20+):

  • DeVries 32.4
  • Bailey 30.4
  • Wilkerson 27.6
  • Enright 26.4
  • Conerway 25.6
  • Sisley 14.8
  • Miles 12

If I’m reading it right, and he does say it’s too early, but as of right now this collection of players looks like a team that would rank in the thirties by his formula. Offense would be in the fifties and defense in the twenties, which is the opposite of what I would have guessed. But a team in the 30-39 range on Kenpom sounds right. Purdue would be top five, for reference.

Adding Brennan and Overton moved us up to the 22-26 range.

I admit I was skeptical / gave me some pause to see no WVU players following DDV (other than his son, who is very good btw lol)… while he may have liked to bring one or two, seems more likely than not he knew he’d need to upgrade the talent and made a clean break. Clearly doesn’t have an issue identifying and locking down targets. All things considered we’re off to a pretty quick start in the portal IMO for it only being mid April. So excited to watch this guy coach.

When it was released that Zrno's camp hadn't heard from CDV, it made me circle back to this same thought which I shared. Appears maybe CDV wasn't pushing to bring others with him (outside his son) versus players not wanting to follow him. Just an assumption obviously.

I just don't think he's going to be interested in anyone he hasn't done extensive scouting of.

Come on man. I already thought about Hanner Mosquera-Perea today. Now I’ve gotta think about Peyton Sparks too. Don’t do this to me

How do they calculate coach ratings? If  it is percent of sh*its given about the programs success or effort given, if it is the latter I would say that's a bit high for MW

Sparks would be so much better in this offense than featuring him and giving him touches on the block. smh

Yes, agree. I guess my point with my post was more focused on the players he scouted/recruited to WVU following him to IU.
