Stats look solid for a freshman, high usage it would appear. Stretch 5, 230lb big man. International player, wonder if he’s played against older individuals back home before college?

Shot 10+ shots over his last 5 games. Averaged over 36 mpg over his last 5 games.

At first glance I like it

Sean Bock, Iowa's 247 insider, said a little over an hour ago that he's been hearing a lot of Dix to IU talk but no one's been told anything final. Says Iowa is trying to keep him but he feels like Dix is gone.

He also mentioned Rapp and thinks Oregon is the one to watch. Evan Flood, Wisconsin 247 insider, thinks Rapp is between UW and Oregon but says IU and Villanova are trying to get involved.

Edit: And Rabby has now deleted his Rapp post. lol That guy.

Well, being a booster myself, I guess I need to ask you how much I need to pony up, to meet all your expectations. I would hate to disappoint.

I would say $5 mil should do it, anything less and I would be disappointed. Thank you in advance.

They gave Woodson 4 years, my guy. And Woody had a virtual corpse on the seat next to him during games. I think DDV will be fine in his first season. LOL

Speaking of which, has anyone woken up Armond to let him know his services are no longer needed?

Gotta say that, for a guy who was supposedly a “big risk” for some folks due to the jump from Drake to the P4, McCollum seems to be hanging in there, at least on the recruiting front with an allegedly modest budget

It's kind of funny, I thought a knock on McCollum was that he did not have a roster to bring with him.

He's got 4 guys coming with him, Stirtz and Manyawu look very good at B10 level. Kael Combs and Isaia Howard got some run as young guards and will know his system. He could also bring Tavion Banks but he could possibly get a bigger pay day than Ben can afford IMO. I'd expect he will at least be able to bring 5 in Joey Matteoni a 6'8 PF freshman.

He's also got Isaiah Johnson-Arigu from Miami who barely played this year but was #147 in HS. 6'7 220 small ball 4.

Yup, and I don’t mean to imply that I would’ve preferred McCollum over DeVries or that Ben would have been a better choice either. Full disclosure: my #1A and #1B choices would have been McCasland and Golden respectively, but the notion that McCollum should have been avoided due to his lack of P4 experience was always superficial and naive imo.
