I actually don’t think Malik is a very good basketball player. His passing is quite bad. His Ft shooting is avg. He fouls more than any other guy in the B1G. He complains about every call. 
 

He dribbles into a turnover or throws it away or forces up a shot against 2 guys at least 3-4 times a game.

He's definitely got a ways to go. He is close to elite at his primary skill but seriously needs to improve on the other aspects of the game like the ones you listed, among others. Hopefully takes another big step forward in the offseason
