Would be a 66 year old in his first year at IU who has underachieved the past four or five years, would have less talent than he's had in 15 years, and would bring Bruiser Flint back to Bloomington as his top assistant?

AHHHHHH. No.

So you are saying Pitino is your guy?

I would sit down with the President and Buckner and try to get them tibtalk to Woodson. Try to get him to retire and move on. Also if we decide to keep him Woodson has to make a lot if changes. He needs to bring in a couple of new assistants and one who is a former college HC.  He needs to change his offensive philosophy where he uses the 3 more.

We're in such a pickle here. Buckner got his guy and we're stuck with him unless Woody agrees to back out, IMO. There's simply no way we fire one of our own guys. It was a mistake bringing him in; like hiring your best friend, and you can never fire him regardless of performance or it tarnishes everything. A foolish move on the BOT part a few years back. Hopefully the Prez pulls a Cignetti the 2nd for us. Gimme a proven winner and stop rolling the dice. Also, I think Dusty May is rolling the dice, and I don't want to be back here in 4 years discussing it. Put me on the BOT and I'll take feedback from this board to help make the decision.

If I don't have the support from the President and the BOT to do the job as I see fit and they refuse to consider my recommendations or try to micromanage my job, I'm looking for another gig.

This is Dolson's honeywell. He's so unqualified for this job it's comical at this point. Outside Bloomington North or South, not sure what other athletic department he's capable of running. He'll never resign because he's never going to sniff an equal job opportunity after the fact.

He'd be able to flip the roster pretty well. Fland would come this way. Probably a couple other recruits he has going to Kentucky. That wouldn't really be a problem.

I’m not saying he’s my first choice, but our floor with him would be better than anything we’ve experienced in the last 20 years outside a couple of Crean years.

Isn't recruiting with the help of Nike his  big trick?

We're adidas and he sucks as an in game coach.

The revenue comes from football. So, it's safe to say, all other sports at IU (including basketball) benefits when the football program is successful.

I agree with this. If we can get football rolling, it opens things up for the entire athletic department as far as revenue. 100%

Bruiser would at least stay awake during the game
