My annual for fun list and it's certainly not all-inclusive and I certainly don't mean to imply that every name on this list is a viable candidate.  Far from it.  Personal opinion is our next coach will be under the age of 55.

ahhh, age discrimination... love it. :D :D

I will show myself out.

NO, YES, MEH

I would take anyone of the 3.  We have through the last 7 1/2 + years with Archie Miller and Mike (gag) Woodson, begger can’t be choosers!   Yes, I would think we are in the begging mode

If Woodson is fired, I wouldn't be shocked if half of the NIL funds dried up.

Then that proves money doesn’t equal intelligence.

I was under the belief that Cig had very little NIL this past year. What was the increase he got vs Allen?

From early in the season:

“He didn't understand why Indiana couldn't succeed," said Tyler Harris, executive director of Indiana's collective Hoosier Connect. "All the Indiana fans have scar tissue. The excitement is one thing. Delivering like he has is another."

Since Cignetti arrived, Hoosier Connect has raised six times the money it did a year ago, Harris said.

Thoughts on Chris Collins? Was very surprised to find out he’s only 50 and what he’s done at Northwestern has been near miracle work

He’s on my short list for sure!

Thus why I wouldn’t be a fan of going after Stevens again. He wasn’t in the college game long, jumped at his first chance to leave and then got out of coaching altogether.

He hated the fact that he would recruit a kid and in the 11th hour, a school would come in and steal the kid.

IUs NIL changes all of that.

The odd thing is May’s buyout almost has an IU clause.  Mich was desperate, but most big time schools would not agree to what he signed.

Theres a reason the buyout is the way that it is. Michigan will likely try changing it after this season though.

That is very true

What was the main reason?  I just assumed Mich was so desperate to get back on track, that they caved and agreed to it.  May had to know IU will very likely be open this cycle.

He told Dolson it was last year or never

I recall some discussion about Pearl's interest in IU being contingent somewhat on how he did at Auburn... I don't have the energy to dig through the site to try to find it.

I believe it was all of the above. It’s all related to IU. That said if he makes a deep run at Michigan I’m starting to doubt if he’d leave but you never know.
