The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

Why will you be shocked if he is retained after the season?  Is there a groundswell to replace him when the season is over?

I haven’t explained why the fans are so pissed and dumbfounded. I’ve explained how, why and when IU makes decisions related to coaches.

You should tell them they’re morons and that other universities are laughing at them for being so incompetent. Haven’t won anything since 87 and I’m so glad many more are waking up to the reason why.

No one cares the how and why 

Too be honest, I enjoy all of it.

I like saying ‘Fire Woodson’ when he deserves it. I like explaining why he deserves it. I don’t mind reading why it won’t happen. It’s all fair. At this point it’s 3 AM at the poker table and Woodys stack Is getting thin, he’s pushing all it and gambling. Only Woodson believes he will win. The rest of Casino knows he’s about to bust. In the Spring we get CoachSZN and PortalSZN and it’s going to be a glorious 2 months with Dolson aiming for the stars.

If he hasn’t broken through to a top three finish in the conference and a Sweet Sixteen tournament spot, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him replaced. If those results aren’t attained, I believe there will be sufficient momentum internally to go in a new direction. Remember, though, that Crean’s ending wasn’t a consensus-based decision. Somebody won that battle, though.

If there isn’t sufficient support, do you believe Dolson could, or would even try, to win a similar battle?

Probably not but we kept a football coach for three years when we knew he couldn’t coach, so what’s three more months. And we knew Crean couldn’t coach and he still had plenty of support when he got booted.
Crean won 2 big 10 titles! We had our doubts he could win a championship. Huge difference. To compare football to basketball coaching decisions tells me you aren't a part of iu board or anything imo. We may joke about and are a better football school this year but let's face it iu is and probably always will be basketball even if we're great at football!
