Ryno6284 Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 That Eric Gordon year was special until it wasn't. The beginning of the zeller sophomore year was the last time I felt like I did with IU basketball since the final four run. Unfortunately that year started off with the crossroads loss to Butler and we just never lived up to expectations! People were talking undefeated before that season and I just knew there was mo living up to that, and then that haunted 2-3 zone found us in the sweet 16. 5 minutes ago, Hoosierfan2017 said: Unfortunately no. His teams since have been decent character wise. I also think Beard has changed too. Maybe he can rise from the ashes here like Sampson has at Houston!

WeeDerkaNaut Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 I was born in 87 so I got to watch RMK growing up and after what my dad taught me about his coaching style and his success I studied him. I'm a firm believer in prepare and practice until it becomes 2nd nature and automatic. 10,000 thoughtful focused reps to mastery and absolutely no half a$$ing. You can do 10,000 and be better than you were, but being mindful and putting real effort into those reps will set you worlds apart from where you started and it will very clearly show in the finished product.

I know what keeps us old dogs coming back, but you younger fans? I have no idea why you stick around! I was a very enthusiastic fan, drove my wife nuts. I knew who their 3-4 games were, the dates and I would arrange my schedule around their games, even when they played in Maui or Alaska. I’ve been watching since 1973, seen all three National Titles. This year my wife has had to tell me when they play and sometimes I tape the game if something else comes up. I’ve never done that before. That’s the apathy I mentioned and if something doesn’t change this year, I am afraid it could get even worse next year and I am sure I am not alone. tkbbn, hoosierfan6157, Deserthoozier and 8 others 11
