Popular Post Home Jersey Posted December 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 2, 2024 Why should we care about IU basketball when the university clearly does not? Program is allowed to function as a clown show because of friends in high places. Good old boys club is getting their NIL a couple decades later. Hardly an exaggeration to say Mike Woodson is milking the university for all its worth, monetary and other benefits. How am I supposed to support that? It sucks to sit here and watch the product on the floor. Guess I'll twiddle my thumbs this year, hoping and praying Dolson is empowered to fix this mess in the offseason. ...... At least we have football. That's a game changer. Let me know when IU gets serious about basketball too... AZ Hoosier, BtownStrength, Banksyrules and 8 others 8 3

In the era of NIL, do you think that message only gets to them if you fire the coach they came to play for? Do you think it will make them play better? Be more dedicated? Have more loyalty? Or will this just be something that makes some fans feel better because we’re doing “something”? Remember, we had a football coach win three conference games in three years and we still waited until the season ended to fire him. They are only loyal to the money! If they were loyal to their coach, they would play harder and lay it in the line every single game. "Question" as in seriously doubt it. I think Trey realizes he's traded basketball success for a check by virtue of playing for Woody. AZ Hoosier 1

There are a couple of other things out there that follow along this same topic that have been brought to Scott’s attention. With all of that, the HH guys are often concerning to people in the AD, and the decision to keep them away from the basketball program was very much supported by the AD. They may try to suggest otherwise, but they would be wrong. My canary in the coal mine moment for this year was at B1G media day, when Myles Rice naively stated that Woody treats him like a grandson; he considers Woody like a grandfather. He said it three times, saw the reaction, and started talking into his shoes, while Gallo gave him this look: Kinda the definition of "funny/not funny." One more point that was made - Parker Stewart being yelled at by Woody that he had "never been coached before" (knowing that he was coached by his recently deceased father). It upset Stewart so much that he left practice and drove home to Tennessee. The assistants had to scramble to get him back to school and salvage the season with him. Horrible. If Woody was only thinking about Stewart's fundamentals on the court and later realized why it was different for that young man? Agreed; it would have been unfortunate but an honest mistake. As far as Yasir and the story, apparently so. I don't mind Yasir. I think the players probably love him. Seems like a genuine dude. Woody doesn't apparently take well to being disrespected. Also mentioned again was that Walsh was trying to leave for Ohio State and they didn't want him. Woody allowed him back. I've always felt this staff is split in its intention and now I believe it to be even more of the case. Matta, Fife, Howard, Yasir........ Seems to be a theme. This is tough because I want to love all the Hoosier legends. I believe Woody has the best intentions and genuinely wants IU to be great but........ Stuhoo 1
