They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

Looks like you’re right.  One game and redshirt is out unless there is a medical reason.

So, I don’t get why someone would transfer soon.

Because you can transfer during Christmas break and spend half a season + a summer working with your new program instead of rotting on the bench of a place that you’re leaving anyway.

Personally I feel like Woodson isn’t cutting it and the other factor is his age. At the end of the year IF he needs to go… Cut him loose. What is the point of keeping him if he’s not a good coach and has another down year this year? I mean IU is going to be looking for a new coach within the next 3 years anyways. I’m sure I could retain most of the pieces of the roster with the next coach by offering $$$$ they are close to getting this year.

Other than a paycheck not sure why cupps came back. He is never going to play.

Some Twitter burners saying the transfer talk in regards to Carlyle isn’t at all accurate. Whatever the “injury” is, who knows, but alas.

I want Leal/Galloway getting his minutes anyway unless a bunch of stuff changes so I think it’s a transfer portal miss as I see it.

Our guard play not nearly as beefed up as I’d hoped.

We better start 2-0 as well WTH Minnesota home and A mediocre at best Nebraska on the road. Gotta start off 2-0.

I could easily see 1-1. Don't underestimate Woodson's ability to have his team get dog walked outside of AH by anyone with a pulse.

Is it ever what we and other predictors sad it is.  Personally, I think our guard play is better than last year and could be really good, but because of coaching, it’s worse than it should be.  Woodson underestimates talent and how much he needs to develop the talent!

I know it's not the norm these days, but maybe Cupps loves the university and his teammates.  Purdue has a few players like that.  Maybe we lucked into a few too.
