Woody said X is soul searching and trying to find himself so I'm just trying to help.

He’s never been that good. He overthinks or underthinks. He’s a low volume spotty shooter and has uncanny speed that he rarely uses to his advantage. He drives the lane often times to throw up prayers for layups instead of opening up the toolbelt and being smart and crafty to finish. But most of us knew this.

That is his biggest fault and I believe whole heartedly he don't get calls because of his antics. Refs won't call a foul if the guy driving goes up weak and out of control and just falls down imo

There are most certainly things that he isn't very good at -- particularly his dwindling assist rate this year, his immaturity on the court -- but he gets to the line at a pretty high rate.  Only Ware has more free throws per game and only Walker has more free throws per minute played.  And unlike most of the team, he actually shoots pretty well when he gets there.

And that aspect has been pretty consistent throughout his career.  Six years he's shot between 75 and 80% from the line and other than last year's season cut short by injury, he gets 4+ free throws per game.  Since he's been at IU, only TJD was getting to the line more than him.

Exactly!  He needs to quit doing that, it serves no purpose other than giving the other team the ball with a turnover and it usually ends in a fast break layup.  That is just poor court recognition

Word on the street is Ware is not expected to play. Staff is hoping for Tuesday night he will be ready but still hasn't had any contact. He's not going to rush back.

Jason Benetti and Robbie Hummel will call Indiana at Illinois on Saturday for FOX at 3 p.m. ET.

Word on the street is Ware is not expected to play. Staff is hoping for Tuesday night he will be ready but still hasn't had any contact. He's not going to rush back. 

What a failure of a season.

I hope they at least give up the Sparks experiment.

He shouldn’t play but to spot Reneau 5 minutes. Go Walker at the 4 or 3.

I don’t love much from the bench. We gonna get crushed no matter what.

I think the Sparks starting experiment is over. He will play but I don't think he will start

I've just about had my fill of Hummel this season. Yes he does a good job but haven't enjoyed him here lately

Mostly messing. He's fine, but he got placed on a pedestal in record time. I never totally understood the hype, then I listened to him call a Purdue game and was outright confused at the love he got, especially from IU fans.

Hummel can't hide his giddiness when IU is playing poorly.

Objectively I think he's better than most, but can't help feel like he can't wait to pile on IU when we're struggling.
