The truth is, they really can't. We aren't losing this game, or Kansas/Arizona/Miami last year because of effort. We just aren't good enough. We don't have the shooting, speed or smarts to compete with the nation's best. I like Woodson, but really thought he'd have us farther along by now.

We shouldn't be in year 3 and thinking just making the tournament would be a good coaching job.

I fear Woody is going to be exposed without the talents of tjd. This is year 3 so this is his team

I don’t love the word exposed, but I am leaning in this direction.

There are some things that just seem to be consistent deficiencies. This team has them too but the top line talent isn’t there.

That very well could happen.

But this is also his and the team's 4th game without 70% of last year's production. It may take a few more games. That's reality.

I know Cupps plays hard and hustles, but he gives us absolutely nothing on offense.

I realize some already reserved his space at the Hall of Fame but what did you expect from Cupps 4 games into his freshman season? He has been better than I thought he would be at this point.

My concerns is the defense isn't great and I don't see the offense getting good enough to win. Hope I am wrong but I feel like we have under performed for the most part.

I could live with it if either or both of the first two seasons had been a smashing success. But we lost 14 and 12 games, and we appear to be headed for at least that many losses this time.

It just feels like this program is permanently stuck in the past and will never seriously be able to hang with the modern day big boys of college basketball.

That’s fair. The problem for me is that all the places we need to improve, we were bad at last year. So I’m left wondering where we get the improvement fun.
