What don’t you love about Givens? And conversely, what the upside that causes him to be a four star?

Saying I don’t love him is less about Givens and more that I really love Fland. There’s enough bleed over between the 2 that I think if you take a commitment from one you’re almost certainly out on the other, and I’d take Fland all day, every day. My comp for him, and this is going to sound critical because of how it went for him, which is not my intention, is Curtis Jones. They’re both kind of combo guys who want to play with the ball but are better off ball because they’re not really very creative. They both flash a wide variety of skills, but not that 1 trait or skill where you see it and think, “yeah, THAT’s why he’s gonna play.”  If Givens hits, he’s a useful, versatile piece who can play with anybody and fill gaps on or off ball. If he doesn’t, he’s Curtis Jones and can’t find a niche because he doesn’t have that thing he’s always gonna bring to the game. If the staff wants him, I certainly get it.

On Peegs it has been said iu would take both givens and fland for what its worth.

If Givens helps to land DQ and LM then his value goes up right

But the line on Curtis Jones out of high school is that he did have a niche — shooting.  Turned out that he didn’t.

Can we get the messaging on the tickets centered? Every time I look at those promo tix I can’t help but notice how everything is centered except for the writing

On the plus side, it's pretty cool that if you squint into the bus front window, Woody is driving the IUBB bus!

True. Saw him several times at Huntington Prep and it really surprised me that he washed out. Thought he was a rock solid college prospect who probably had a nice career path overseas.

May not be indicative of much given their roster turnover, but Memphis, which is Givens’ home town and probably the school to beat here, just took a commit from top 100 combo guard Jared Harris. The kid has a very nice offer list and the timing, if not the choice, is considered a bit surprising.
