Ive not seen a single player this year that screams "NBA player." Any team tanking this year is in rough shape because it's a bad class. Haven't been impressed by a single freshman outside of Reed Sheppard and I don't think he should be leaving Kentucky.

This is a weak freshman class, but that means more potential for high selection international players and non-freshmen at the collegiate level. Ware probably benefits greatly from this weak draft and goes mid-1st round where he might not have other years.

The transfer portal era's Noah Vonleh. An unbelievably talented player that put up some really good numbers and performances on a team that made the fanbase want to burn down Assembly Hall.

Grateful I got to watch him here and I think he has a chance to be a really good pro.

Season underwhelmed.  Ware didn't.  He was pretty special, really.  Another good kid imo, that gave it his best.   I personally think 1 more year of getting ready is necessary but he can do that in the NBA or GLeague I suppose also.  Just so long as he isn't given up on, by whatever NBA team takes him.

He was our highlight reel guy this season.

Seriously, though, I'm glad he came to IU for the year. As bad as this season was, it would've been way worse without him. He came in and proved a lot of people wrong about him. He also seems like a really great kid.

Good luck to him, wish him well.

Nowadays, if you don't produce as a rookie or 2md year, you suck. Even though it takes most guys 4-5 years.

How does the agent thing work now.  Can he come back by the deadline if he does not get an agent.

These days he can have an agent and still come back. Some “experts”  have him as a first rounder so I would guess he is 98% gone.

Imagine MM will also enter the draft to at least get feedback from the league but would expect he will be playing college ball (IU or somewhere else) next year, but who knows ?

I'll make this the spot where I sit down and enjoy my plate of crow. I preferred Kadin Shedrick to Ware last offseason, and boy was I wrong. Shedrick went on to average 8/3 in 17 mpg for Texas.

Ware was a ton of fun to watch. As bad as things seemed, it could've been soooo much worse without him (imagine Sparks as the starting 5 all year). That end of season run was on the back of Ware. Really wish we could've given him some guards/shooters and gotten him to the tournament, but I'll always look back fondly of his short stint here in Bloomington.
