With unbalanced schedules it's difficult to really determine who the "true champion" is these days. There are pros and cons for both regular season and tourney champions.

Big 12 still played a round robin regular season but that’s about to change when 4 new teams enter the fold next year

To me, a three month long conference season shows who is the strongest over a longer period. Any team can get hot and win in successive days. Well, any team except IU of course lol

Woody often makes adjustments.

I agree he doesn’t play a lot of guys but how many teams truly go 10 deep? That being said I’d probably give Banks more consistent run and maybe a bit of Gunn.

Not trying to be dismissive but the only adjustment i saw all game is we pressed a little. Same guys, same problems, no recognition from the sidelines. It was pretty obvious we were going to lose this game early in the second. Did like the fight to push back into a close game at the end though

I hope that someone is in Coaches ear and change things up  when guarding perimeter happy teams.  You need to acknowledge problems otherwise we all know we'll probably lose early. Stubbornness is not your friend in this regard.

This. There is a fair amount of sideline stubbornness.
Contrast Duke’s adjustments and UNC’s lack thereof this season and how it’s worked out for both teams.

The Regular Season Big Ten Conference Champ or any Regular Season Conference Champ is about 3 or 4 months, 15 or 16 weeks, 60 to 90 days, and 25 or 26 games more Prestigious than Big Ten Tournament Champ or any Conference Tournament Champ.

Something definitely needs to change there. Most of this game, PSU was shooting well over 40% from 3 (they finished at ~34%). Even though Maryland ultimately finished at around 37-38%, until the final minute or so they were close to 50% from 3. 9-19 or 9-20. The premier defense needs to improve and do so quickly.

I think things change next year.  CMW said when he was hired he wants to play 1 in and 4 out.  It’s not a team of ‘his’ guys right now.  Race is still one of our top 5 players and I think once he graduates and CMW continues to get the players he wants things will look a little different.

I think we're going to see a pretty big roster overhaul this spring. I know some people dread that, but it could have happened last year or even the year before. Woodson valued continuity for a program that hasn't had much of it recently, which I can respect, but it's honestly time to turn the page on some of these guys.

So to the guys who follow the recruiting closer than me, who are 100% Woodson guys.  Guys that his administration contacted and landed with no contact/commitment with that other guy.  X, Kopp from portal (Durr who’s gone).   Bates I think.  Malik.  JHS?   Gunn?  Banks?  What about the new guys coming in?

I love Leal as a person but I mean he only plays with walk ons. We need impact bench guys.

I think leal is here for the duration.  If I’m not mistaken he’s the only one who indicated to Woodson he was sticking around when hired.  Now I wish he could take a jump and become an off the bench 3 point sniper.  Those guys are key when they can come in and keep a game from getting out of hand in a 2 min stretch.

Woodson keeping IU's tradition of not doing much in the B1GT, I see. Maybe next season let's lose that tradition and try something different, like winning it.

Should have been today unfortunately.

Galloway also told Woodson he was staying immediately after he was hired.

I saw Woody adjust from the stare, to the scratching of his head, to the shake of the head as we continued to look lost on defense. Has it regressed from last seasons simple high ball screen to just forgetting we have to defend. Can’t believe we still have issues with Crean’s players on this team.

I know Trey does a lot of “glue things” but he has a total of 6 points in the last three games. Not optimal.

His shot has looked broken the past week.

PSU out rebounded us and easily. We’re missing rebounding on the floor, rebounding is extra possessions, it’s a critical part if getting the W.

Just unlucky bounces on those rebounds and just bad calls that put them on the line to shoot like ~15 more than us.

(Please ignore the previous occurrences of this happening throughout the year)

It’s not going to. It’s been this way since November. I’m fine blaming the staff, but the players have a lot to do with it too.
