I’m not concerned with that low enthusiasm video either. I believe the players understand the importance of the game and rivalry. Last year, on the road, the Hoosiers lost by 2. This team is much better. So, my belief, based on the video, is that they’re going in with the silent assassin mentality. All business, don’t need to get too hyped. They will leave it all on the court.

As a guy who played three seasons of sports in high school each year, I've never understood the thinking that the coach needs to deliver an inspirational speech before a game. I was either ready or I wasn't. Nothing the coach could say changed that. I will admit that I didn't understand playing hard until I was a junior and then it clicked for me. The inside of a team looks way different than it does from the outside. Anyway, go Hoosiers, beat the crap out of the Boilers.

I recall a sectional championship high school game I watched within the last few years where the two teams' demeanor before the game couldn't have been more different. One team was oddly calm, quiet, almost robotic during warmups and starting lineup intros. The other team was bouncing off the walls, yelling and screaming, chest-bumping each other, all sorts of manic energy. Guess which team got out to an 8-0 lead? Not the kids who appeared to have eaten sugar before the game.
