Shannon being out is huge. Take any break you can get at this time of year. Beginning of year I think it's different but at this point we know, for the most part, what we have and a little luck is much welcome.

I'm not going to assume Shannon is a big break for us. There will be guys chomping at the bit to fill the void and make an impact in this game (see Goode), especially after getting embarrassed at home.

Possibly, my point was bringing a player like XJ back compared with a Race or Gallo is a little different. It's always possible XJ comes back and tries to do too much both shooting and making plays that aren't there. Gallo and Race don't typically press (Race has a bit at times) like XJ has a tendency to do. That could be good or bad.

Rogers (?) for Ill has had some good minutes too. I'd prefer a win because of what we did and not what the opponent is missing. A win is a win though right?

Agree, but if he's back as a backup to JHS and Galloway he's taking Bates' minutes.  Right now we are getting just bad from Bates, so good and bad from XJ might be an improvement.
